Highlights

Learn landscape maintenance techniques, equipment operation, pest management, landscape design and construction, plant identification, pruning techniques, plant propagation methods and basic irrigation hydraulics. On-site landscape development gives you hands-on experience to complement your coursework.
Careers
Graduates find employment in a wide range of positions within the industry. These include landscaping and maintenance, retail and wholesale nurseries, garden centers, municipal parks, supply companies, commercial greenhouses, orchards, golf courses, and self employment. Depending on experience and training, positions could be as entry level workers, lead hands, foremen, supervisors, or owner/operators.
Admission Requirements
Limited admission
- Grade 12 (or equivalent) or mature student status
- Attend a program orientation session
- Recommended: be in good physical condition and have a strong interest in plants and hands-on work
