- By phone: VISA or Mastercard (credit card)
To discuss a fine or other charges please contact the library.
Recalls
When someone borrows an item you would like, you can still request it. This will trigger an email to the person who has the item, instructing them to return it to the Library by a certain date. When the recalled item becomes available, you will receive an email.
Please note: items that have been recalled are due 1 week after the recall request is placed. Fines will be assessed at $2 per day for recalled items that are returned late.
Requesting and Retrieving TRU Library Items
If you are at House of Learning Library during open hours, you are welcome to browse or search for items on the shelves, or ask for assistance at the Research Help Desk on the 3rd floor. You can also request an item that has been borrowed by someone else (a.k.a placing a hold).
Request a TRU Library Item
- Find the item in the Discover Search.
-
A "Request this Item" link appears in each physical (e.g. print) item record. Choose “Request this item” and fill in the requested information. Before clicking "Submit", choose from the available options including:

- Pickup at Williams Lake Library: Have items sent to the Library for pickup between 8:30 am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday. You will be notified by email when the material is ready for pickup.
- Scan & Email to Me: A chapter or section of a book will be scanned and emailed provided the request follows the TRU Fair Dealing Policy [opens a PDF].
