TRU Community Trust (TRUCT)
Thompson Rivers University Community Trust (TRUCT) was established to undertake the preparation and sales of market lands to benefit Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and its communities in accordance with the 2013 TRU Campus Master Plan. TRUCT is currently developing The Reach Neighbourhood at TRU (The Reach), a mixed-use development at TRU in Kamloops, BC. The objective of development at The Reach is to enrich campus life and return funds to support university initiatives such as student bursaries, scholarships, and research grants.
The Reach Neighbourhood at TRU
For over 45 years, TRU’s campus has been constantly growing and strategically evolving. TRU had become more than the sum of is buildings, green spaces and pathways; it has become a community – a place to learn, live and play.
The Reach Neighbourhood at TRU (The Reach) describes the university village development established by the TRUCT. The Reach is a feet-first neighbourhood with mixed use developments including commercial, residential, and retail advantages for students, faculty, staff and residents to enjoy. The Reach Community is designed to be a vibrant anchor for the community of Kamloops.
