Biography Generator
Faculty members use the biography generator to create personal web pages that let students, colleagues and the public know about their background. Follow these instructions to make your own.
Start by logging in at tru.ca/bio with your TRU network account. Contact the IT Service Desk if you have trouble logging in.
First steps
Starting your web page is like filling in a form. Parts that are required are designated with an asterisk. Other parts are optional — if you don't fill them in, they won't show up on the web page.
When you're done, click Save.
Fill in your content
You should now see links at the top right:
- Main Information: your main page information
- Timetable: your office hours and course times
- Photography: your picture, which will be resized to 300 pixels
Use these links to flesh out your content.
Finish
When you're done, click Finish, and your page will be live on the web. Here is an example.
Links
You can get a link to your new web page — typically from a list of faculty members found on your department's website. For example, here is the Accounting and Finance department at the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics. Someone in your department should be able to do this for you.
