Supporting Students: The Dr. Norm Daley Initiative
“For years, being in business, I have seen the benefits of having TRU within our community. With the cost of education and the cost of living today, these students need our help to ensure that we have people in the workforce moving forward.”
- Norm Daley
For more than 50 years, TRU has supported the educational needs of students in the BC Interior and beyond, preparing graduates to work, lead and innovate locally.
As a well-known community and business leader, Dr. Norman Daley understands the importance of nurturing the next generation. Norm is a longtime TRU donor who regularly hired students and TRU graduates at his accounting firm before his retirement in 2021.
Now, you can join Norm’s legacy and support TRU students by becoming a part of the Dr. Norm Daley Initiative.
With a fundraising goal of $1 million, this initiative will open doors for local students to the world of business and ensure they are supported in your family’s name for generations to come.
To create this endowment, we need 30 supporters to donate $35,000 each. Donations can be one-time gifts, or pledged over three years. Your gift will provide an annual scholarship or award of $1,400 to a student in the name of your family, business or in honour of a person or organization of your choosing. The award is maintained in perpetuity, meaning your family can use this donation to build a culture of philanthropy that will last for generations.
