Instructional Skills Workshop
This workshop is for faculty members and staff interested in developing and enhancing their instructional skills. It consists of teaching practice, theory application and topical sessions specifically relevant to each instructor’s context.
During this supportive workshop you will have opportunities to develop new teaching skills, to enhance existing skills, and/or try implementing new and challenging ideas or technologies. You will work closely with a small group of peers and trained facilitators to prepare and teach short lessons and receive feedback.
Participants who successfully complete the 30-hour program will receive a certificate of completion that may be applied as credit towards the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program.
Each workshop has limited seats available, so register early to hold your space.
External Participants
If you are from outside TRU and wish to take the ISW we ask that you contact CELT via email indicating your background in teaching and why you wish to join the ISW. Priority is given to TRU faculty and staff, but occasionally will accept external participants when and if we have room. The cost for participants external to TRU is $350, payable by cash or cheque.
