Facilitator Development Workshop
Have you participated in an instructional skills workshop? If so, you’re now eligible to become a facilitator of ISWs.
The facilitator development workshop is a five-day interactive workshop designed to help participants develop and refine facilitation skills through peer feedback in a supportive environment. Participants practise their teaching techniques through mini-lessons, plus they develop and enhance strategies for facilitating the group instructional skills workshop process.
This workshop is ideal for anyone who wishes to facilitate future instructional skills workshops. It also helps participants improve their facilitation skills in other group settings, such as classrooms and meetings.
As well, participants have the opportunity to experiment with new teaching methods, to explore formative assessment techniques, and to receive feedback on their own teaching and facilitating skills.
FDWs are typically offered through CELT annually, in April, May or June.
