Instructional Support
CELT offers a number of supports for faculty who are interested in exploring their teaching practice. The teaching and learning coordinators at CELT use an appreciative inquiry model that focuses on the member’s strengths, possibilities and successes to support the development of a successful and discipline-specific practice.
Individual consultations
One-on-one consultations are available to discuss and process anything related to your teaching practice. Some topics for consultations have been:
- How to implement more group work
- What to do with feedback on course evaluation
Instructional coaching
Does your teaching practice need a workout? CELT offers personal, individual instructional coaching. Coaching sessions include conversations about teaching as well as classroom observation(s). Having someone observe you in action can seem intimidating, but it can also be a great way to get meaningful feedback. Class observation is paired with a pre-observation dialogue about goals as well as a post-observation feedback session. Contact the teaching and learning coordinator to set-up an appointment.
