Teaching Assistants

Teaching assistants are integral to effective course delivery at TRU. We provide support, training and social networking opportunities for TAs in order to create a vibrant TA culture on campus.

Orientation

CELT provides support to teaching assistants in all disciplines through fall and winter orientations that cover topics such as policies and procedures, submitting timesheets, intercultural communication, and challenging situations with students. These orientations are also opportunities for new TAs to learn from experienced peers and to develop connections with TAs from across disciplines. The orientations, while not mandatory are encouraged. Mandatory attendance to these orientations is at the discretion and responsibility of the department or Faculty.
