Mission statement

Committed to innovation, collaboration, and responsiveness, TRU SON provides excellence in nursing education, research, and scholarships. The SBLC will achieve this through the following activities:

• Aligning with INACSL (International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning) HSSOBP (Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice)
• Focusing on alignment and achieving Simulation Centre accreditation
• Establishing a safe learning environment
• Scheduling regular professional development opportunities for staff and faculty
• Planning strategic alignment with future needs of SON simulationbased education

Our vision

We will be leaders of excellence in simulation-based healthcare education focusing on Advancing Nursing as Leaders in Health. Leading innovation and quality in post-secondary simulation education will be the Simulation Centre.

Purpose statement

We are committed to maximizing the use of the simulation program resources in our community for healthcare education, prioritizing advancing nursing as leaders in healthcare. We will supply high quality simulation-based education experiences for learners.
