Clothing
Personal clothing often provides a first level of protection against injury. All employees and students shall equip themselves with clothing suitable for protection against the natural elements while engaged in TRU activities.
When working where exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, you must wear the following clothing to provide basic protection:
- Long sleeved shirts or blouses
- Long pants
- Footwear that encloses the foot
Where there is a danger of contact with moving parts of machinery or with electrically energized equipment or similar hazards:
- Clothing shall fit closely about the body
- Dangling neckwear, bracelets, wristwatches, rings or similar articles shall not be worn
- Head and/or face hair shall be confined or worn at a length that prevents it from being snagged or entangled in the work activity or process
