Academic Integrity is a fundamental responsibility. Thompson Rivers University (TRU) believes in upholding strong academic integrity principles and supports six core values: honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, and courage (ICAI, 2023).

These core values replicate The Secwépemc Nation’s Research Ethics Guidelines. The Secwépemc Nation has been knowledge-making and researching for millennia. Academic Integrity and Secwépemc research principles advocate for conducting appropriate and effective methods of knowledge seeking, which include respecting the interconnectedness of knowing, doing, and learning.
