Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee
The Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee (ESAC) is dedicated to providing evidence based advice with regard to environmental sustainability policies and practices that foster a sustainable future and lead to health and economic benefits for the University community. ESAC will act to promote dialogue and discussion on issues related to the environment and sustainability. ESAC is also committed to fostering environmental literacy, sustainable development, and environmental responsibility at Thompson Rivers University that can serve as a model for others.
Get in involved with Sustainability at TRU. Join ESAC or one of the six subcommittees: Awards, Biodiversity, Core Theme Planning, Sustainability Education in the Curriculum, Sustainable Purchasing, and Zero-Waste.
The ESAC supports the following TRU initiatives and offices:

- Environmental Sustainability Achievement Awards

ESAC meeting schedule for the 2023-2024 academic year
Meetings are from noon to 1:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month.
Due to COVID, meetings are held virtually via MS Teams.
If you would like to attend a meeting, please contact the Sustainability Office at sustain@tru.ca.
There will be no meetings in July or August 2023.
