English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
Master the fundamentals of English language proficiency as a speaker of other languages. Our EAP program helps you build strong language skills that will support your transition into university studies, career opportunities or other educational pursuits at TRU and beyond.
Permanent residents, landed immigrants and refugees can access this program tuition-free — an excellent opportunity to improve academic and everyday English without financial barriers.

Prepare for a career teaching English to speakers of other languages in Canada and abroad. Our TESOL program combines in-depth theoretical knowledge with practical skills, equipping you to teach in diverse settings. Gain real-world experience through an international field school in Vietnam or a local practicum, where you can apply your learning and make a real difference in people’s lives.

Gain hands-on experience through weekly volunteer service while building meaningful connections within the university and the broader community. Application deadlines
International students
Applications open for most programs on October 1. The deadline for fall (September) intake is May 1, deadline for winter (January) intake is September 1 and deadline for summer (May) intake is February 1 with some program-specific exceptions.
