Monica Cheng

Monica is a partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon, LLP where she practices in all areas of income tax law. She advises on corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and financings involving corporations and private equity funds. Her practice includes both domestic and international tax matters in the oil and gas, renewable energy, agriculture, technology, infrastructure, and retail sectors.

Monica frequently presents and publishes on a variety of tax matters. Prior to entering private practice, Monica clerked for the judges of the Tax Court of Canada.

Monica joined TRU as a sessional instructor in 2019. She has also co-taught Corporate Tax at McGill University and guest lectured at the University of Calgary and University of Ottawa.
